Shaw Island County Park
This 60 acre public water front park has one of the best beaches in the San Juan Islands. It is blessed with 3,000 feet of gentle sloping sandy beach. The majority of tourists go to the larger, more well know islands. This beach has few visitors even on the busiest of summer weekends.

Blind Bay
Blind Bay is a favorite anchorage for boats on their way through the islands. |
General Store
A visit to the Shaw General Store is an important step into island life. It’s a reflection of a place and time when community was the fabric of life. It has all the basics, including a selection of wine, ice cream and espresso. |
The School
The “one room” school house has 15 students and two teachers. It also has more than one room. |
Historical Society Building
The Museum and Library are run by volunteers. |
Ferry
Shaw Island is one of four islands in the San Juans served by the Washington State Ferry System. Each island has a quota of available spots on the ferry. Shaw gets few tourists so the quota is very rarely filled. Long waits for a ferry ride are rare. |
